Van Gogh’s Quinces are in Philadelphia

A few week’s ago, I blogged about three well-known European painters who had painted quinces. Vincent Van Gogh’s “Still Life with Quince Pears” was one of them.

Then last week, I was in Philadelphia, only to discover that the show, “Van Gogh Up Close” at the Philadelphia Art Museum offers a rare opportunity to see more than 40 works by the artist. Low and behold, Van Gogh’s Quinces are part of the show. I got to stand in front of the artist’s painting of our favorite fruit for as long as I wanted. Unfortunately, photos weren’t allowed so I don’t have a picture. If you are in Philly, the show is a must. http://www.visitphilly.com/museums-attractions/philadelphia/van-gogh-up-close-at-the-philadelphia-museum-of-art/?gclid=CLnb8e7dmK8CFcMbQgodOiDh0w If not, here’s Van Gogh’s Quinces once again.Enjoy!
